Love returns to love: do pets reincarnate?

There is an energy that is loves us that want us to fulfill our purpose and simply wants us to be happy. Why do we have such a hard time believing that something so miraculous could happen in our lives?

dog love, working together & the end of fear

Currently, 30% of the animals being turned in to the shelters are done so because of behavior issues. My belief is that as humans we are letting these dogs down, I was called in earlier in the year by Small Paws because a woman who adopted a dog wanted to turn the dog into the humane society because he had “maybe” bitten someone. I did a session with the dog & he stayed in the home

What I have learned from dogs:

Meditation is sacred, and a moving meditation like a walk is the BEST!
- If someone is especially cooking your favorite meal, it’s okay to do a “happy dance”
-Every once & awhile you come across someone who you have nothing in common with, and instead of judging, you just need to give them a wide berth.
-Not everyone has to love you, but you can still try for that….
-you can never snuggle too much.
-Trust that when someone likes or even loves you, they usually meet you halfway.
-if you patiently wait your turn, you will get a treat too.
-a fight …

Canine one of a kind

This is an article I wrote previously, when I was between my first bichon Patsy and my girls now, Gracie and Lucie. I have found no matter how many dogs you know, none are alike. Dogs are like snowflakes, only much larger and warmer. This may seem like a tribute, (and probably is) but it is my accounting of her presence in my life, what I appreciated the most.
Who am I now, without a living dog, present in my life? I find that I do not have the excited frenzy of the possibility of meeting new people, meeting strangers that …

Are horses more empathic than dogs? what about cats?

A continuing issue I have heard thru out my life is. “Which can you get closer to: a horse or a dog?” Now that I am an intuitive, another question added to the first is “who are more sensitive, dogs or horses?”
Let me start by saying that all animals have angels and guides, just like humans do.
Both sides of this issue have merit. A dog lives inside with most owners. They have access to your bedroom, your bed. A dog looks at you admiringly, hanging on your every movement, every word and look. From my communication, I …

Rainbow Bridge or Purgatory? (And Yes, All Dogs Go to Heaven)

The rainbow bridge is a theory that has received a lot of acceptance. When Patsy died, the vet clinic sent me a card about that she was at the rainbow bridge. This actually amazed me. When it comes to religion, I am always stunned at what is accepted across all faiths and what is taken exception to. I am not totally sure completely of what the rainbow bridge is. What the poem that goes with it says is that the dogs and cats go to the edge of heaven and they wait for us and then we all cross …

Musings From a Cat’s Mind

“Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this.” Anon
“The Egyptians believed that cats were the God’s of joy. If so, kittens are their minions.”
A. We see earthbound spirits, i.e. ghosts. That means when I am looking over in the corner at the ceiling, I am not being spacey or freaking out.
B. Some food we like, some we don’t. Does that make us  finicky or practical? If a human doesn’t like Broccoli, is he finicky?
C. We want a lot more variety than a can of something with the same old gravy on it. (By the …

dogs, cats, shelters, pain, fear & love: making a difference

As an animal communicator, I FEEL how cats and dogs, horses, birds feel. It gives me a perspective on situations that involve animals that very few humans are privy to. A rescue puppy lost its life today, even though many people with open loving hearts tried to bring her back to health. It brings me to a dull heartache, and the need to try to share what I know.

First of all, dogs and cats GO to heaven. I have spoke to hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dogs and cats, and not one of them have told me that …

old dogs can learn new tricks, & they also read minds!

Mythbusters the show on Discovery (yes a TV SHOW) tackled the old myth that “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks”. Of course, within one day of working with the dogs that were elderly Alaskan malamutes (11 years old), the dogs learned to sit down, lay down and heel. The instructors helped the dogs & their humans learn these tricks, then the next day, when the human was alone with his dog, he couldn’t do it. The trainer had to come back and reinforce the training. That to me was interesting, because it seems that the dogs learned the …

Cats come to love

At a conference, I was asked by the woman across from me to contact the cat she had at home. I asked her what the cat’s name was, and she hesitated. The guides immediately said that the name of the cat had something to do with the way the cat was marked, the way it looked. The woman chuckled, and I knew I had struck a cord. She was amazed. She said the cat came from a family that was the victim of the flooding of the Mississippi the year before- and she had taken the cat because the family …
